A trailer park home might not seem especially luxurious to most residents of Folkmore, and it was certainly humble, but there was nothing quite as special to two men from Golarion as having the power to command hot, indoor showers on demand. No wash tubs that had to be filled from smaller containers, individually boiled and poured one after the other in the hopes that maybe the water would still be warm when there was enough of it in the basin. No shivering in cold water, either because that was all there was, or someone somewhere insisted it was "good for you."
Hot. Indoor showers. On demand. Even if they didn't last long, they lasted long enough for it to still be a marvel every time.
Rhys sighed, thoroughly relaxed in the steam-filled bathroom, and wrapped his arms around Marus' waist from behind. "Varisia needs these," he murmured against the tiefling's back before kissing his shoulder. "Desperately. World-changing."
He'd barely just stepped out of the shower, the heater starting to give up at that point, but if he could go back in without risk of becoming a dhampir prune? He would. The hot springs held their own appeal, he supposed, but pools of water still reminded him of the decrepit temple ruins they'd found beneath the city. The shower felt safer.
