There was some degree of plumbing in some parts of Korvosa, but there was never hot water. Marus hasn't managed to get a shirt on after his own shower (which may in fact be why there's no hot water - tieflings like their showers hot, apparently), but he doesn't mind the sudden hug from behind, looking over his shoulder at his partner and giving him a brief tail-hug even as he finishes brushing his teeth. "It really does. It really, really does. I bet some rich people have them." The Ornelos probably have a bound elemental heating their water... Marus doesn't know. But he imagines that's the case.
Anything's better than the hot springs. They smell! And they remind Marus of similar things, though his trauma is subtler due to his lack of direct fear.
Abruptly, he wheels about to give Rhys a minty (thanks, toothpaste) kiss. "You're awfully affectionate today."
